WISTA Nigeria Bemoans Demise Of Ngozi Obikili

Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) Nigeria has said that it is grieved by the demise of Mrs. Ngozi Obikili.

The Public Relations Officer, WISTA Nigeria, Arit Nwokedi revealed this during a chat with the News Diet, in Lagos yesterday.

Nwokedi described Ngozi Obikili as a “goal getter and an admirable team-player who contributed immensely to numerous WISTA Nigeria programmes and initiatives over the years”.

The WISTA Nigeria spokesperson, noted that although Dame Ngozi Obikili didn’t take up a leadership position at WISTA, she contributed significantly to the success stories recorded by the women group in recent years.

Until her demise on recently, Ngozi Obikili was the General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Planning Division at Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

“Her contributions remain an indelible reference point in the annals of the Authority and her global trade facilitation efforts,” NPA stated on its official twitter handle recently.

Obikili was fondly called the ‘Great Trade Facilitator’. While NPA mourns, MMS Hall of Fame is also in pains as Obikili was a United Nations Amazon in the hall of fame family.
