The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has unveiled an elaborate programme to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the passing of its founder, Prophet Temitope Balogun (TB) Joshua, with a special event themed “Rejoicing with the Saints.”
The anniversary celebration, slated for June 5, 2026, is expected to attract worshippers, gospel ministers, dignitaries and admirers from across the world in honour of a cleric whose ministry transcended geographical, cultural and religious boundaries. A two-day revival will precede the event from June 2 to 3 at the church’s Faith Resort Ground, Agodo, Lagos.
Five years after his passing, TB Joshua remains one of Africa’s most influential Christian leaders. Through his teachings, humanitarian interventions and global media ministry, he impacted millions across continents, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire faith, compassion and service.
According to SCOAN, activities will begin at 5 p.m. with a special Walk Way Experience, where visitors from different nations will share personal reflections on why they chose to join the celebration of the late prophet’s life and legacy.
The programme will feature a salutation hymn, opening prayer and welcome remarks, followed by ministration from American gospel artiste Byron Wilson.
A major highlight will be a documentary chronicling the life, ministry and enduring impact of TB Joshua on Christianity, philanthropy and global evangelism.
The event will also feature a Conversation Corner, where distinguished guests and longtime associates will share testimonies and memories of the late cleric’s influence on their lives and nations.
Among those expected are His Royal Majesty King Willard Mswati Gomani of Malawi, Pastor Acosta from Argentina, Mama Akinola from Nigeria, Sybrand from South Africa, and Adisley and Enrique from Spain. Virtual contributions will come from Colonel Wilson of Colombia, Katerina from the United Kingdom and Teniente Coronel Melo from the Dominican Republic.
The diverse lineup reflects the global reach of TB Joshua’s ministry, which attracted followers from over 100 countries. Through Emmanuel TV and extensive missionary work, he became one of Africa’s most recognised religious figures, drawing people from around the world in search of spiritual guidance and hope.
The evening will also feature ministrations by renowned Tanzanian gospel singer Christiana Shusho and American gospel artiste Brian Cage.
Another key moment will be an address by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, who succeeded her husband as SCOAN leader following his passing in June 2021. Since assuming leadership, she has sustained the church’s spiritual and humanitarian mission while advancing many of the initiatives established by the late prophet.
Observers say the anniversary offers an opportunity not only to remember TB Joshua’s life but also to reflect on the enduring values of faith, love, charity and practical Christianity that defined his ministry.
Beyond the church, his legacy remains evident in numerous humanitarian projects, educational interventions and charitable programmes benefiting vulnerable communities across Africa and beyond.
The celebration will conclude with a closing hymn and prayer, ending what organisers describe as an evening of worship, remembrance and thanksgiving. For many gathering in Lagos and joining virtually from around the world, the occasion will reaffirm that although TB Joshua has passed on, the impact of his life and ministry continues to touch lives across generations and nations.
