WIME Celebrates Aminu Umar’s Emergence As Chamber Of Shipping President

Women in Maritime and Energy (WIME) has congratulated its Patron, Alhaji Aminu Umar on his recent inauguration as President of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS).

WIME Awards made this known in a statement issued by the Chairperson of its Advisory Board, Mrs. Chizoba Anyika and made available to News Diet, today.

“Alhaji Aminu Umar is our Patron and a strong supporter of WIME activities. We are glad to identify with him and we really celebrate his inauguration as the 7th President of Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS).”

“Besides his role as Patron and significant contributions to WIME Awards, Alhaji Umar also deserves accolades for his high degree of professionalism as one of the leading indigenous ship-owners in Nigeria,” Anyika stated.

She also assured that WIME Awards can be relied upon as one of the stakeholders to join in supporting the expected transformative journey at NCS with Aminu Umar as the President.

Recall that the investiture of Mr. Aminu Umar as the new President of NCS held in Lagos recently at a grand event graced by the Minister of Transportation, Alhaji Mu’azu Jaji Sambo; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Dr. (Mrs.) Magdalene Ajani; Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Hon. Emmanuel Jime; among other maritime sector bigwigs.
