The South West Zone of the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), under the leadership of National President, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha, and the South West Vice President, Mr. Anago Osho, has inaugurated the Oyo State chapter of the association in Ibadan.
The inauguration, which held last week, marks a significant milestone for the association and represents the first chapter inauguration of its kind in the history of NATOP South West Zone.
Describing the event as a landmark achievement, Anago Osho attributed the success to the encouragement, cooperation, and unwavering support of the National President, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha, whom he commended for her visionary leadership and commitment to strengthening the association.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the steadfast support and encouragement of our National President, Hajia Bolaji Mustapha. Her leadership and dedication to the growth of NATOP continue to inspire progress across the zones,” he stated.
Osho also acknowledged the contributions of key stakeholders who played vital roles in ensuring the success of the historic inauguration.
He specifically appreciated Dr. Tunji Akib, Welfare Director of NATOP South West Zone, and Mrs. Doris Godson, Lagos State Coordinator, for their commitment and support throughout the process.
He further extended special appreciation to Mr. Ayo of Flyzone Tourism for his immense contribution to the success of the event.
Others recognised for their support included Mrs. Tobiloba Bamisaye, Membership Secretary, South West Zone; Alhaja Taiwo Mufuliat Omokunmi (Alhaja Mahib); and Michael Balogun for their encouragement and valuable assistance.
Osho also commended Mahogany Hotel and Suites, Jericho, Ibadan, for hosting what he described as a historic occasion for the association.
The inauguration is expected to deepen NATOP’s presence in Oyo State while strengthening collaboration among tour operators and tourism stakeholders in the South West region.
