Following the recent administrative shakeup at Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Sylvester Othuke Egede has been appointed as the new Port Manager of the Tin Can Island Port Complex, Lagos.
The announcement was made official in a statement released by the Authority recently.
Mr. Egede, a seasoned and accomplished maritime professional, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His extensive background in port management and strategic planning is expected to further elevate the efficiency and operational standards of one of Nigeria’s most crucial port facilities.
The Tin Can Island Port Complex, located in Lagos, is a major gateway for imports and exports, playing a pivotal role in the nation’s trade and commerce.
As Port Manager, Mr. Egede will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, and implementing measures to enhance overall port performance.
