“We are solidly behind you. Wishing you success throughout your tenure,” Ikechukwu said while assuring the board members of support.

He said, “I commiserate with customs CG Ali and also with the OC government warehouse, Ikorodu, Assistant Controller Wiliams Opkabi who has been like a father to both his officers and also to all resident Customs agents with his way of relating to us like father. I also pray for the repose of the soul of the officer who died in active service to the country. I also pray to pray to the almighty God to give the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

Ikechukwu, while commending the OC, Operation of the Ikorodu government warehouse, SC Bolaji Ibidamitan for his steadfastness at the command, however, advised the service to ensure regular health check on their personnel in other to forestall sudden death.

“I also advice the Nigeria Customs Service to mandate officers to always check on their health status to enable them resist sudden illness that can lead to death.”
