The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has said none of the audited African Member States has implemented the agreed Corrective Action Plan (CAP) of the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS). The observation was made at the opening ceremony of a three-day workshop for heads of maritime administrations in the West and Central African region that commenced on Monday in Lagos State. The Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) has called for the full operationalisation of the Domestic Export Warehouse initiative (DEW) initiated by the Nigeria Shippers Council (NSC) to ease logistics constraints at the ports.
