Shittu, Presidential Amnesty Boss, Condole With Asu Beks Family

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, and former ANLCA President, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, have expressed deep condolences to veteran maritime journalist and publisher, Elder Asu Beks, over the passing of his wife, Mrs. Helen Asu Beks, aged 58.

Dr. Otuaro said he received news of her death “with shock and sadness,” describing the loss as painful and heartbreaking. He noted that Mrs. Beks was a strong, devoted mother and a pillar of support to her husband and children.

The PAP Administrator, in a message sent by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Igoniko Oduma, urged the bereaved family to find strength in God during this difficult period, praying for comfort and fortitude to bear the “irreparable loss,” and for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Beks’ soul.

In a separate tribute, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, Chairman of Skelas Group, described Mrs. Beks as a woman of dignity, grace and unwavering faith. He praised her calm strength, compassionate nature, and the stabilising influence she brought to her family and community.

Shittu said Mrs. Beks “embodied the qualities of a true matriarch,” extending kindness and courtesy that left lasting impressions on all who encountered her. He offered heartfelt condolences to Elder Beks, expressing hope that cherished memories of their life together would bring comfort.

Mrs. Helen Asu Beks is remembered for her humility, integrity, and quiet leadership qualities that shaped her home and endeared her to many.
