The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has postponed its 28th summit by one month.
NESG revealed this in a press statement, noting that the summit earlier scheduled to take place in October has been shifted to November 14th and 15th, 2022.
The group said it made the difficult decision to reschedule the summit after close consultations with key stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning.
It attributed the postponement to “unforeseen circumstances,” regretting the inconveniences the rescheduling might cause all stakeholders preparing for the summit.
“The summit will convene national and global leaders in government, business, politics, development, civil society, and academia to deliberate on issues in Nigeria’s transition year,” the group said,
It added that there would be an opportunity to participate virtually, while the onsite will be held at Transcorp Hilton hotel, in Abuja.
