How Nigeria’s transport and logistics sector can withstand global disruptions, energy supply shocks and infrastructure weaknesses will take centre stage at the second JustNet Transport Summit in Lagos on October 23, 2026.
The one-day event will hold at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, under the theme “Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future.”
Organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, the summit reflects the growing link between transport, energy supply chains and international trade; where a disruption in one segment can trigger operational and economic consequences across the wider value chain.
Participants are expected to examine how oil-market disruptions and energy supply challenges affect passenger movement, cargo operations and infrastructure development, given the sector’s dependence on reliable and affordable energy.
Protecting strategic assets is also on the agenda as discussions will cover safeguarding energy infrastructure and critical national assets to keep people and goods moving without interruption, a concern that has grown as supply-chain and infrastructure disruptions continue to affect trade and economic activity.
Another focus is integration. The organisers say Nigeria’s challenge goes beyond building infrastructure to connecting road, rail, aviation, maritime and inland waterways systems effectively.
Speakers are expected to address transport planning, rail connectivity and the need for stronger institutional coordination, along with governance, operational efficiency and the role of aviation in trade facilitation.
Policy and investment will also feature. The summit will look at regulatory challenges, technological innovation, and measures to attract private-sector investment while improving service delivery.
Managing Director of JustAlive Communications, Mrs Pearl Ngwama, said in a statement that the summit is designed to bring industry players, policymakers and other stakeholders together to develop practical solutions.
She said the aim is solution-oriented deliberations that produce actionable recommendations for a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready sector.
Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director, Operations and Technical Services at Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, will chair the summit. Dr Richard Aisuebeogun, a former Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, is the keynote speaker. Dr Thomas Ogungbangbe, Chief Executive Officer of CITA Energies, will give an energy-sector perspective, while Dr Femi Aiyegbajeje, a senior lecturer at the University of Lagos, will speak on transport planning and rail integration.
The event is expected to attract policymakers, regulators, operators, infrastructure developers, energy professionals and academics from the aviation, maritime, road, rail, inland waterways, energy and logistics sectors. It builds on the maiden edition held in 2025.
