The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has formally distanced itself from a group known as the Joint Association of Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agents (JACCOF), declaring that it has no relationship or affiliation with the body.

In a public disclaimer issued on Wednesday and signed by its National Secretary, Olumide Fakanlu, ANLCA stated that it is neither a member of JACCOF nor represented in any of its activities, urging industry stakeholders to ignore any claims suggesting otherwise.

The association warned that any individual or group presenting itself as acting on behalf of ANLCA in relation to JACCOF is doing so without authorisation and should not be recognised.

“ANLCA is not affiliated with JACCOF in any form. Any representation or claim to that effect is false and should be disregarded by members of the public and industry stakeholders,” the notice stated.

ANLCA said the disclaimer became necessary to prevent confusion within the freight forwarding and port logistics community, as well as to protect its institutional integrity.

The association advised stakeholders seeking clarification on its official positions or engagements to contact the office of the National Secretary or visit the ANLCA National Secretariat in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

It reaffirmed its commitment to transparent engagement within the maritime industry and thanked stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support.
