
Victoria Ahom, an indigene of Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue state has taken the lead in the ongoing Voting Campaign by Face Of Maritime International (FOMI) as part of preliminary tasks and activities for Season 7 edition of the maritime industry pageantry.
Week 1 of the Voting Campaign which started last week Monday, ended on Sunday night with Victoria toping the Voting Chart by beating 49 other contestants.
The 24 year-old Victoria garnered 10% of votes in Week 1 to clinch the first spot.
Whereas Princess Nwafor garnered 6% of votes to come second; even as Godwina Obaniwo polled only 2% of votes to come third respectively.
In a press interview with newsmen after the result was released to the public by the organisers on Monday, Victoria expressed her joy and excitement for toping the voting table in the first week.

Speaking about her experience during the Voting Campaign, the 5.8 feet tall Accounting student said, “Well it wasn’t easy I must say, although I have family and friends who really want to see me win and are working towards helping me achieve that goal”.
She also gave a piece of advice to her fellow Contestants as they go into the second week of the voting campaign, “I’ll advise all including myself not to give up, we all can do better. Quiting is not an option, we’ve come too far to quit”
Adding that she’s ready to maintain her lead in the coming weeks despite the hurdles of convincing people to vote for her.
Victoria Ahom’s favourite colour is white, her favorite food is rice and her hobbies are dancing and singing. Her passion for modeling motivated her to register for Face Of Maritime International, and she believes that winning the FOMI pageantry would be a stepping stone for her to achieve her dreams.
Recall that Face Of Maritime International is a maritime industry pageantry of International standards which uses beauty queens to promote gender advocacy in the maritime sector and to champion women involvement in a male-dominated maritime careers.
