Transport Stakeholders Set to Chart New Course for Nigeria’s Infrastructure Development

Transport industry stakeholders will on October 29, 2025, converge at The Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, for the maiden Transport Infrastructure Summit organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News.

The summit, themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” will bring together key players across all modes of transportation – road, rail, maritime, aviation, and inland waterways – to discuss the state of Nigeria’s infrastructure and identify actionable pathways for sustainable development.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, said the summit was designed to bridge gaps in policy, planning, and implementation across the transport value chain.

“This platform will enable experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange ideas, share best practices, and develop innovative solutions to the challenges confronting Nigeria’s transport infrastructure,” Ngwama said.

She emphasized that the summit represents the company’s contribution to national development, describing transport as “a catalyst for economic growth and a major contributor to global GDP.”

Nigeria’s transport sector remains a critical pillar of economic productivity, but decades of underinvestment, poor maintenance, and fragmented planning have stifled its potential. The summit aims to spotlight these bottlenecks and propose pragmatic reforms to improve efficiency, connectivity, and sustainability across the board.

By fostering collaboration among stakeholders and promoting innovation-driven solutions, the event is expected to strengthen the foundation for a modern, resilient, and inclusive transport system capable of supporting Nigeria’s long-term development goals.
