Thousands of worshippers, church leaders, dignitaries and partners from across the globe converged at The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Friday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the passing of Prophet T.B. Joshua, in a grand celebration that underscored the enduring influence of the late televangelist’s ministry and humanitarian legacy.
The event, themed “Rejoicing With the Saints,” was broadcast live on Emmanuel TV and attracted participants from diverse nations, cultures and backgrounds who gathered to honour a spiritual leader whose impact continues to resonate across continents five years after his transition.
Anchored by Femi Branch and Seraphine Dogbe, the commemorative service blended worship, tributes and testimonies, highlighting the far-reaching influence of Prophet Joshua’s life, teachings and philanthropic interventions.
The celebration featured inspiring musical ministrations by internationally renowned gospel artistes, including American worship leader Byron Cage, Tanzania’s Christina Shusho, Zambia’s Kings Mumbi Malembe and Brian Courtney Wilson, who led congregants through sessions of praise, thanksgiving and worship.
A major highlight of the event was the Conversation Corner, hosted by Vimbai Mutinhiri, where guests from different countries reflected on personal encounters with the late prophet and shared testimonies of lives transformed through his ministry.
Among the dignitaries who paid tribute were King Willard Mswati Gormani of Malawi, Colonel Wilson from Colombia, Pastor Acosta from Argentina and Lieutenant Colonel Melo from the Dominican Republic. Their remarks echoed a common theme—the profound spiritual and humanitarian impact Prophet Joshua had on individuals, communities and nations worldwide.
An emotional atmosphere enveloped the auditorium during the screening of a documentary on the life and ministry of the late cleric. The visual presentation chronicled his journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the world’s most recognised Christian leaders, highlighting his unwavering devotion to God and commitment to serving humanity.
The anniversary celebration also showcased the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the T.B. Joshua Foundation, which continues to sustain the prophet’s legacy through interventions targeted at vulnerable communities across the globe. Initiatives such as the Five Thousand Lives Initiative and The Horizon Project were highlighted as examples of the foundation’s commitment to practical expressions of compassion.
In a touching tribute segment, participants used different letters of the alphabet to describe the late prophet’s character, portraying him as a man of humility, faith, wisdom, generosity, compassion and dedication to God’s work.
Five years after his passing, the gathering served not only as a memorial but as a reaffirmation of a legacy that continues to inspire faith, humanitarian service and hope among millions worldwide. For attendees, the celebration was a testament to the enduring relevance of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s life and mission in shaping lives and communities across the world.
