“On this 65th Independence Anniversary, APFFLON salutes the courage of Nigerians and the commitment of our maritime leaders. The Customs Service under CG Adeniyi has made remarkable strides in trade facilitation and revenue mobilization. The Nigerian Shippers’ Council, led by Dr. Akutah, continues to stand as the voice of shippers. The Ports Authority under Dr. Dantsoho is driving operational efficiency across our ports, while the CRFFN is strengthening professionalism in freight forwarding. Together, these institutions are pillars of our economy,” he said.

Ogunojemite stressed the need for greater collaboration among agencies and stakeholders to unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s maritime and logistics industry.

According to him, policy reforms, infrastructure upgrades, and digital innovation remain critical to positioning the sector as a true engine of growth.

“Independence is not just about looking back at our journey, but also about charting a bold new path. APFFLON will continue to support reforms that align with global best practices and safeguard the interest of Nigerian freight forwarders and shippers,” Ogunojemite added.

He equally congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians at large, expressing optimism that with visionary leadership and unity of purpose, the country will overcome its challenges and achieve lasting prosperity.
