
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has announced a strategic management retreat scheduled for 7th and 8th February, 2025 in Lokoja with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, expected to grace the occasion.
NIWA disclosed this in a press statement signed by its spokesman, Mr. Suleiman Makama, on Wednesday.
The retreat which is to take place at the Conference Hall Lokoja has the Blue Economy Minister, Adegboyega Oyetola, slated as the Special Guest of Honor and the NIWA Managing Director, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji FCIB, as host.
Top issues to be discussed at the retreat include; key performance indicators (KPI) review for 2024 and outlook for 2025; revenue performance for 2024 and targets for 2025; organizational effectiveness, and communication.
News Diet recalls that during the 2024 Performance Bond signing retreat, the Managing Director of NIWA, Oyebamiji, said the objective of the retreat is to discuss and have a working template upon which the aspirations of President Bola Tinubu on Inland Waterways through the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, will be achieved.
This year 2025 retreat will have the management and all Area Managers of NIWA in attendance.
