NAGAFF To Mark Silver Jubilee In November 2024 – Ezisi

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has commenced plans to celebrate its silver jubilee in November 2024.

NAGAFF President, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, revealed this while briefing journalists after the association’s National Executive Council Meeting on Tuesday.

His words: “We had our NEC meeting today and reflected on the association history and set a roadmap for the next six months. The journey hasn’t been easy but I must say that I have been very impressed with the performance of my national executives. Some strategies to address our challenges have been discussed at the NEC meeting.”

“The good thing is that we are better than where we were yesterday and our tomorrow promises to be better. NAGAFF started as a dream of Dr. Boniface Aniebonam several years ago, but today it is a well-recognized association. My dream as NAGAFF President is to leave NAGAFF much-better than the way met it.”

Ezisi expressed optimism that the silver jubilee will usher the association into new heights as an entity and also for the practice of freight forwarding in the country.

During the NEC meeting, a committee was inaugurated for the organization of the NAGAFF 25th anniversary celebration with the Deputy National President, Seaports, Chief Afam Chukwuma as Chairman.

While noting that the freight forwarding sector is facing numerous challenges, Ezisi equally added that more opportunities abound in a rapidly evolving freight forwarding landscape.

“Freight forwarding is now driven by advancements in technology, changes in regulations, and shifts in global trade dynamics. We must stay ahead of these changes, adapt to new realities, and continue to advocate for policies that support our members and the industry”

“I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your dedication and hard work. Your unwavering commitment to NAGAFF and to the principles we stand for is truly commendable. It is because of your tireless efforts that we have achieved significant milestones and continue to uphold the integrity and professionalism of our industry,” he stated at the NEC meeting.

Ezisi also reiterated that the association’s core priorities include strengthening advocacy efforts and engagements with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
