NAGAFF President Celebrates Customs CG One Year Anniversary

The National President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, has commended Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for his remarkable contributions to the Nigeria Customs Service during his first year in office.

Chief Ezisi, who is also the MD/CEO of Emmatoks Agencies Limited, a key player in logistics supply chain management within the maritime industry, praised CGC Adeniyi in a telephone interview earlier today.

“In his first 365 days in office, the CGC has introduced significant innovations and developments to the Service, resulting in Customs Officers working in a more conducive environment.”

“The continuous training and retraining of Officers and Freight Forwarders to international standards have positively impacted revenue generation and overall services.”

“Additionally, there have been improved relationships between Officers, Freight Forwarders, and importers, evidenced by the Service generating over ₦4.1 trillion in one year,” the NAGAFF President said.

He further noted that both young and experienced officers now demonstrate greater confidence in interpreting the tariff book, and paper documentation has decreased.

“CG Adeniyi has also motivated Officers with timely promotions, encouraging them to give their best, which has contributed to the achievements recorded so far,” he remarked.
