The Mission to Seafarers (MTS) Lagos has announced the demise of its Public Relations Officer (PRO) and member of its management team, Mr. Dotun Makinwa.
MTS Lagos revealed this in a press statement signed by its Secretary, Funmi Folorunsho, last week.
Part of the statement read: “It is with a heavy heart but total submission to the will of God that the Mission to Seafarers Lagos, (MTSL) announces the call to glory of MR. DOTUN MAKINWA who died on Saturday 3rd August, 2024 after a brief illness.”
“Until his death, he was a Member of the Management Committee of Mission to Seafarers. We are pained to bid the PRO of the MTSL, Mr Makinwa a farewell at this time.”
According to the MTS Lagos, Makinwa was very useful to the association and contributed in no small measure to the actualisation of the mandate of the MTS.
“His marks and legacies would continue to resonate for a long time as a very nice and easy going man. We just wish the departed PRO eternal rest.”
“We do covert prayers for the family left behind and the association at this time of grief. It is really a difficult time. The burial arrangements will be announced by the family soon. Adieu Mr Dotun Makinwa,” the statement read.
