Coca-Cola Nigeria has brought back one of its most beloved global campaigns, Share A Coke, with a vibrant, high-energy launch in Lagos on October 23, 2025. The immersive event drew in media personalities, creators, and fans for a celebration of connection, personalization, and pure Coke joy.
From dazzling performances by Wande Coal, Odumodu, Falz, Shody, D.J Shawn, and Rybeena to creative personalization zones where guests printed their names on Coke bottles, the night was a full-on festival of music, nostalgia, and digital engagement. Attendees shared their moments live on social media, fueling the campaign’s signature spirit of togetherness.
“This is the return of the most loved campaign for Gen Zs,” said Mariam Khan, General Manager of Coca-Cola Nigeria. “When you hand someone a Coke with their name on it, you’re not just sharing a drink; you’re sharing a piece of their identity, their story, and their joy.”
The event also introduced a new digital twist. Guests scanned QR codes on special bottles to create personalised “Share A Coke Memory” keepsakes — blending the campaign’s nostalgic roots with cutting-edge interactivity.
According to Yusuf Murtala, Senior Director and Head of Marketing, the campaign’s comeback is a strategic move to reconnect with younger audiences. “We’re giving a global classic a modern Nigerian heartbeat,” he said. “It’s about experiences people want to share – not just products they want to buy.”
Valerie Odubogun, Director of Frontline Marketing, added, “Every touchpoint matters — from retail shelves to social spaces. Share A Coke is about sparking smiles, celebrating names, and reminding people that connection never goes out of style.”
Originally launched over a decade ago, Share A Coke became a worldwide sensation by swapping the iconic logo for real names, turning simple bottles into personal treasures. In Nigeria, it inspired a movement of friendship, love, and community — values that the 2025 edition aims to reignite nationwide.
The campaign’s next phase includes personalized bottle drops, pop-up experiences in major cities, and influencer-led activations under #ShareACokeNG. Each bottle, each name, and each shared moment will remind Nigerians of one simple truth: joy is best when shared.
“As we relaunch this iconic campaign,” Khan said, “we’re not just bringing back a brand moment — we’re reigniting a movement of joy, connection, and community.”

Guests were treated to interactive personalization zones where they could print their names on Coca-Cola cans — a signature element of the campaign. The excitement spilled onto social media under the hashtag #ShareACokeNG, as attendees shared photos, laughter, and stories of connection.
“This campaign is more than names on bottles; it’s about creating real connections,” said Mariam Khan, General Manager of Coca-Cola Nigeria. “When you hand someone a Coke with their name on it, you’re sharing their identity, their story, and their joy.”
Adding a modern twist, Coca-Cola introduced digital activations where consumers scanned QR codes on specially marked bottles to create personalized Share A Coke Memory keepsakes.
The brand also unveiled a collaboration with West African Fashion (WAF), launching an exclusive Coca-Cola x WAF streetwear collection inspired by Gen Z creativity and Nigerian youth culture.
Yusuf Murtala, Senior Director and Head of Marketing, described the campaign as a fusion of global heritage and local energy. “We’re giving a timeless idea a modern Nigerian pulse — one that’s interactive, personal, and shareable,” he said.
To keep the excitement flowing, Coca-Cola announced a nationwide consumer promo running from October 31 to December 31, 2025, offering millions of naira in cash prizes, airtime vouchers, and other rewards. Consumers simply need to buy a personalized 50cl Coke, check under the crown for a code, and enter it online for a chance to win up to ₦1 million weekly.
As Khan summed it up: “Share A Coke is more than a campaign it’s a movement of joy, connection, and community. Every bottle shared is a story that brings people closer together.”
