The Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON) has inaugurated new executives for its Seme and PTML chapters and named Chief Gambo Suleiman as its Western Zonal Coordinator.

At the event, Forwarder Olufioye Johnson Segun was installed as Seme Chapter Chairman, while Siyanbola Taiwo Rasheed assumed leadership of the PTML Chapter. The appointments are expected to boost APFFLON’s presence across key border and port locations.
National President, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, reaffirmed APFFLON’s commitment to defending freight forwarders’ interests, citing the association’s interventions at the National Assembly and in court to challenge unfavourable policies.
Meanwhile, he stressed the need for members’ registration under CRFFN and urged stronger collaboration between the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) and the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC).
Representing the Shippers’ Council, Mr. Kola Rasheed pledged continued support, promising interventions to ease bottlenecks in both eastern and western corridors.
In his acceptance speech, Suleiman vowed to unite the zone and strengthen APFFLON’s advocacy efforts. The newly inaugurated chairmen also pledged to address customs challenges and trade barriers affecting members.
The event ended with a call for unity and active participation to keep APFFLON a strong voice for freight forwarders nationwide.
