Customer Service Week: Five Star Logistics Commences e-Card Registration For Port Users

As part of the activities to commemorate the 2024 Customer Service Week, Five Star Logistics Terminal has begun the online registration process for its customers to provide them with electronic access cards.

The logistics company also engaged in strategic discussions with stakeholders, including freight forwarders and port workers, while organizing specialized customer service training for its members of staff.

The theme “Above and Beyond,” introduced the company’s officials to outstanding customer care practices and effective conflict management techniques. Additionally, the stakeholder engagement offered a valuable opportunity for the operator to gather feedback on its services for further improvement.

In an interview with journalists, Mr. Jaysing Kamthe, Terminal Manager of Five Star Logistics Limited, highlighted that the cargo dwell time, which used to reach 15 days, has now reduced to between 5 and 6 days and over 95 percent of the vehicles at the terminal are cleared promptly.

He stated, “We plan to implement the e-Cards to enhance access control within the terminal. This week, as we celebrate our customers, we have educated them about some of our services.”

Kamthe also expressed satisfaction with the professionalism displayed by the Customer Care department and expressed hope that the training conducted on Wednesday and Thursday would help the company enhance its service delivery.

Mr. Chuks Okereafor, Customer Care Manager at Five Star Logistics Terminal, encouraged staff members, especially those in customer care, to continue to treat customers with utmost respect.

During the stakeholder engagement, freight agents praised Five Star Logistics Terminal for its significant advancements in e-services, noting that cargo delivery has greatly improved.
