SIFAX Group has reaffirmed its commitment to maritime security, pledging strong support for the Port Authority Police (Western) Command to enhance safety across the Lagos ports.
Speaking while receiving the new Commissioner of Police, Port Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Oluwatoyin Iyabode Agbaminoja, on a courtesy visit, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman of SIFAX Group, stressed the need for close collaboration among all port stakeholders to protect lives and property, secure critical infrastructure and sustain legitimate commercial activities.
Afolabi praised Agbaminoja’s track record in the maritime sector and described her appointment as a vote of confidence by the Nigeria Police leadership. He assured that SIFAX Group would continue its tradition of partnering security agencies to deliver effective and sustainable port security.
“We have built a strong working relationship with CP Toyin Agbaminoja over the years, and we are delighted with her promotion. Security thrives on collaboration, and SIFAX Group will continue to support the Port Authority Police Command in achieving its mandate,” Afolabi said.
Earlier, CP Agbaminoja commended SIFAX Group for its industry leadership, noting that the visit was aimed at deepening cooperation between the company and the Command in pursuit of a safer maritime environment.
Members of SIFAX Group’s management team present included Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, Group Coordinating Director; John Jenkins, Managing Director, Ports and Cargo Handling Services Limited; Oliver Omajuwa, Deputy Director, Strategy and Operations; and Olumuyiwa Akande, Group Head, Corporate Communications.
The CP was accompanied by senior officers of the Command, including ACP Inusa Karyah (Operations), ACP Olufikayo Fawole (Administration), Area Commander Sunday Adeyeri, and ASP Isaac Hundeyin, Command Public Relations Officer.
