The Customs Area Controller, Ogun 1 Command, Idiroko, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu has charged the newly promoted officers and men of his Command to double their efforts and see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.
Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu who was ably represented by the Deputy Comptroller Administration due to his official engagement at the Service Headquarters Abuja, gave the charge on Thursday, January 11, 2024 during the decoration ceremony at the Idi-Iroko Command.
While congratulating the promoted officers, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu also expressed gratitude to God for His grace on the promotion of the officers.
The Customs boss appreciated the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi MFR, and the Customs Board for finding the promoted officers worthy of promotion.
Comptroller Shuaibu said’ “Your promotion is a privilege, many of you sat for the promotion examination but not all got promoted. You have to live up to expectations , to whom much is given much is expected “.
The newly promoted Comptroller AA Abdulkadir and former Deputy Comptroller Valuation of the Command, who graced the occasion, advised the promoted officers to do things differently including their dressing, communication and level of performance, among others. He also charged them to expect higher responsibilities and more tasks ahead.
At the occasion, 4 Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSCs), 3 Superintendent of Customs (SCs), 7 Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSCs), 3 Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASCs I ) and 2 Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCs II) were decorated with their new ranks.
