
The President of Maritime Security Providers Association of Nigeria (MASPAN), Mr. Emmanuel Maiguwa has congratulated the Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port (TCIP), Ag Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Dera Nnadi mni, on his recent promotion.
MASPAN President, Maiguwa made this commendation when he paid the TCIP Customs boss a courtesy visit on Wednesday.
The MASPAN President, who is also the President of the Alumni of Maritime Academy of Nigeria Oron (AMANO), described ACG Nnadi as a distinguished Customs officer and commended him for the Command’s efforts in combating drug and arms smuggling at the port.
His words: “Today I visited Comptroller Nnadi (now ACG) to congratulate him on his promotion to the rank of ACG. He has been an outstanding officer with particular passion in the development of Maritime trade and operation.
“The port industry has immensely benefited from Nnadi’s time here as CAC Tin-Can Command. As he ascends higher, I wish him great success and assurance of support.”
Recall that the TCIP Customs boss, Nnadi led the Command to a historic n revenue collection with over N1trillion generated in 2024 while also facilitating the Command’s first transformational renovation since it was created over 40 years ago.
News Diet also recalls that Nnadi’s outstanding performance recently earned him recognition and awards of Excellence at the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Award Ceremony which held last month in Abuja.
