As part of activities to mark the 2026 Sustainability Week, Dangote Group through its subsidiary, Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL) donated 200 executive conference chairs,13 window blinds, a modern projector and screen, among other items to remodel the Nigerian Ports Authority multipurpose hall at the Lagos Ports Complex (LPC).

Other items donated include; 3 office tables, 1 examination couch, 1 waiting-room chair, 4 stethoscopes, 4 thermometers, and 4 blood pressure meters.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony at the LPC on Friday, the General Manager, Operations, Dangote Port Operations, Mr. Yakubu Abdullahi, expressed delight to see the impact of the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
His words: “On behalf of the Management of Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL), it is my honour, in commemoration of the 2025 Sustainability Week Programme, to formally present the following items to the Nigeria Ports Authority as part of our continued commitment to partnership and institutional strengthening.
“These items represent our dedication to fostering stronger collaboration, improving workplace functionality, and supporting NPA in delivering exceptional service to all port stakeholders.
“We are confident that this gesture will further enhance NPA’s operational efficiency and reinforce our shared pursuit of sustainable development.”
He, however, seized the opportunity to call for Nigerians to be united and assist in building indigenous brands, even as he assured that Dangote Group looks forward to do more in a bid to improving the Nigerian society.
Speaking on behalf of the Port Manager, Lagos Ports Complex (LPC), the Principal Manager, Tarrif and Billing, Abubakar Sodiq, expressed gratitude for the gifts; even as he chronicled the numerous collaborations between NPA and Dangote Group via GDNL and Dangote Refinery.
Sodiq observed that the kind donations have saved the NPA and by extension the nation a great deal of revenue that would have been needed to revamp the LPC multipurpose hall.
The occasion also featured the presentation of scholarship support to some high-performing undergraduates from the Apapa port city and hearty felicitations from the awardees and their families.
