A leading figure in Nigeria’s freight forwarding industry and National Treasurer of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Hajia Bola Muse, has commended Prince Olayiwola Shittu JP, on his recent appointment as an International Peace Advocate by the Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC), describing it as a fitting recognition of a man defined by integrity, visionary leadership, and inclusiveness.
She noted that the leadership style of the former ANLCA President, Prince Shittu, has not only strengthened professional cohesion but also inspired a culture of trust and accountability across the industry.
Her words: “Prince Shittu represents a rare breed of leadership anchored on high-level integrity, fairness, and a genuine commitment to the collective good.
“His ability to unite diverse stakeholders and foster cooperation has remained one of his most enduring legacies.”
Muse further highlighted Shittu’s distinguished record as a mentor and advocate for gender inclusion, emphasizing his deliberate efforts to encourage and support women to assume leadership positions within the maritime and logistics space.
According to her, his open-door approach and belief in merit have created opportunities for many female professionals to thrive in what has traditionally been a male-dominated freight forwarding sector.
“Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to empowering women, ensuring they are not only included but given the platform to lead and excel. This is a defining aspect of his leadership,” she added.
Bola Muse, who is also Founder of Bomarah Group, expressed confidence that in his new capacity as an International Peace Advocate, Shittu would extend his influence beyond national borders, promoting dialogue, strengthening global cooperation, and advancing the ideals of peace and unity.
