In a bid to ensure that students of Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) Oron graduate as employable officers, the Alumni Association of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (AMANO) recently organized a one-day career fair at the Academy.
The event, which held at the Academy’s campus, was put together by AMANO executives and members, under the guidance of the association’s president, Mr. Emmanuel Maiguwa.

During the career fair, MAN Oron students were also able to benefit from the on-the-spot interview session aimed at providing immediate employment opportunities for some of the cadets.
A curriculum vitae (CV) clinic was also held to better equip the students with the skills needed to navigate the job market successfully and prepare for the next chapter in their careers.
Industry experts including; Captain Garba Gajere, Engr. Ini-obong Ebong, Anne Dung, Oamien Ailemen, and Inoma Frances shared their remarkable journeys in the maritime industry with the passing-out cadets, urging the students to take pride in their profession and continue their careers with confidence.
The shipping veterans also emphasized the importance of dedication, hard work, and continuous learning in a fast-evolving industry.

Meanwhile, the event also saw the active participation of members from the Akwa Ibom Chapter of AMANO, further enriching the gathering with their invaluable contributions.
